Xiaomi unveiled the 15S Pro smartphone and the Pad 7 Ultra tablet on Friday, both powered by the company’s first in-house system-on-chip, the Xring O1.
The Xring O1, built on a 3-nanometer process, integrates a 10-core central processing unit, a 16-core graphics processor and a dedicated six-core neural processing unit designed for on-device artificial intelligence tasks. Xiaomi said the new chipset will reduce its reliance on third-party suppliers and may appear in future models.
The Xiaomi 15S Pro retains the design and core specs of its predecessor, featuring a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Imaging hardware includes a triple rear camera array led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens and a 5x periscope telephoto module. The device houses a 6,100mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging and runs Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. It will be offered in black and blue finishes.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra uses the same Xring O1 chip and sports a 14-inch 3.2K OLED screen with peak brightness of 1,600 nits. A 12,000mAh battery provides up to 19 hours of video playback and offers extended standby in ultra-power-saving mode. The tablet runs a customized version of HyperOS 2 optimized for multitasking and supports Xiaomi’s new magnesium-alloy keyboard accessory.
Xiaomi did not disclose pricing or availability dates.
